BuyCal does not require an account and does not collect, sell or share your personal information. Your calculations stay on your device. The only personal data we ever receive is your email address, and only if you choose to give it to us.
Calculations, folders, notes and photos you save in the BuyCal app are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Deleting the app deletes this data.
In the app and on this website you can optionally share your email address to receive tips and product updates. If you do, your email is sent to MailerLite, our newsletter provider, and used only for that newsletter. You must confirm your subscription by email (double opt-in), and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Declining or skipping this has no effect on the app.
If you attach a photo to a calculation, BuyCal uses your device's photo picker. The photo is stored only with your calculation, on your device.
The Currency Check feature requests live exchange rates from open.er-api.com. This request contains no personal data.
When you export a calculation (CSV, PDF or ZIP), you choose which app receives the file via your device's share sheet. BuyCal does not send exports anywhere on its own.
App data: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android settings. Newsletter: click unsubscribe in any email, or contact us and we will remove you.
